AHEAD Becomes Sponsor Of Audubon International Golf Initiative
May 24th 2010 -

AHEAD announced today that is has become a  sponsor of Audubon International’s Golf & Environment Initiative.  As part of AHEAD’s sponsorship, it will offer exclusive headwear & apparel logos that will be available to Audubon International member golf courses. AHEAD is the first golf manufacturer to sponsor Audubon International golf initiative, an award winning education and certification program that helps golf courses protect the environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf.

“The Audubon program serves as a vital resource for golf courses and AHEAD is very pleased to help support this important organization,” said Jeff Waller National Sales Director, AHEAD. “The 2500 or so courses around the world that our part of Audubon International are taking a leadership role in the community in achieving environmental excellence by preserving and enhancing wildlife habitat and protecting natural resources.”

Golf facilities who are members of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary or Signature programs will be able to order headwear and apparel with the official Audubon International marks on them. Each piece will include a special hangtag that will help educate golfers on the mission of Audubon International.

We feel the AHEAD headwear & apparel logos provide our golf course members with an important opportunity to promote their involvement in the program and raise awareness on and off the golf course,” stated Jessica DesLauriers, Development Manager for Audubon International.  “The support we receive from our sponsors is critical to our success and we commend AHEAD for their commitment to the nature of the game of golf.”

“This is an important alliance for us,” said Jim Keenan, Director of Marketing, AHEAD.  “We share a similar customer base,  which makes working with Audubon International a great marriage. We anticipate our eco-friendly line of headwear and polos to be very popular with their members.”

AHEAD introduced its eco-friendly line in 2008. The line has grown in popularity ever since. PGA Tour player, Retief Goosen is also a big fan of the line and wears it regularly on tour.
